My love of quilts goes way back to days as a young girl spent at my grandmother’s house that was full of quilts made by her mother. I loved everything about them; the colors, the texture, the patterns, and most of all you could feel the love that went into each one of them. I never had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful woman behind those quilts, but I knew that someday I wanted to learn how to make them myself. After being empty-nested, I bought my first sewing machine and learned how to piece. It didn’t take long before I was hooked. I’m not sure what took me so long to take the plunge! I have always enjoyed crafting and making things, but nothing is better than designing the perfect quilt for someone to snuggle with. There is just something special about a quilt! Happy snuggling!
